Are they poisnous? Do they affect your people's health in any way (positive or negative)? Which food group does it belong to? Which temperatures and how long do these plants need before they're ripe and ready for harvest? You will have to find out either by analyzing the seeds (only possible in the future scenario) or by trial and error. However, you don't know much about the plants. (Australia, anyone?)Īn interesting potential mechanic for both scenarios: You don't need to buy seeds from a trader - you can cultivate them from what you find on the new planet/continent. Your people live in the 17th/18th century and have been banished on a new continent where they need to survive. Your people live in 2450 and have been banished on a habitable planet where they need to survive. Maybe a colonial sim based around the design & engine for Banished but styled after Anno 2205 & 1800?

I think it would be cool, however, if the dev expanded his horizons though. Theoretically, you accomplish that, so no need for a sequel, or at least not "Banished 2". The story is that you & yours got banished from your medieval town/kingdom/whatever & you have to create a new life out in the middle of medieval nowhere. Don't get me wrong, I love this one & I would love to see more similar games from the dev, but not a series about banished.
